iPhone Launch Problems Have Cleared Up - iPhone Update Now Available

We can confirm that the iPhone OS version 2.0 upgrade is available for download and now the problems have seemed to clear up. Today we successfully downloaded and installed the new iPhone OS version onto an original iPhone. The download went smoothly and was didn’t take very long. First, we had to download the update for Mac OS X and the newest version of iTunes. You may have already done this step. Then you simply connect your iPhone and go to check for new software. The download will start immediately and when finished it will install onto your phone. The installation process takes a few minutes, as the device has to back up all its data to your computer, then transfer the installation files and perform the installation on the device before copying the backed up files for contacts, settings, etc. Once the iPhone is updated, you can download and install applications from the App Store straight to your device via WiFi, 3G or even EDGE data connections. This means that even with the original iPhone you can download programs wherever you want, not just in range of WiFi as with the iTunes Music Store. At first glance, we think the new version of the iPhone OS is pretty cool, but we will have to do a more in depth review in order to gauge it more accurately.
